Haunted Mirror

Work's continuing on our new album 'The Scissors is the Haunted Mirror' (we're taking The Scissors to be the definite article, hence 'is' and not 'are', grammar pedants out there. Plus we just like the sound of it), and it won't be too much longer, we promise! In the meantime, here's the cover art, to whet your appetites.

Delays mainly caused by the fact we're mixing the album by seance sessions conducted at eight minutes past midnight only on strange nights with a full moon. Finished mixes are then transmitted to master tape via magick lantern show. It's all in a good cause, you understand...

Chilly Mill Road fun!

All the (frosty) fun of the fair - Mill Road Winter Fair 2014!

We're proud to be back at Mill Road Winter Fair this year! This Saturday (6 Dec) Mill Road becomes an all-day celebration of food, music and culture, and we're delighted to be playing at the Ditchburn Place stage at 3.45pm. Wrap up warm and come along!

Scissors tipple

Every band seems to be coming out with their own branded ale or other beverage these days. We can't quite stretch to that, but if you want a Scissor-flavoured drink, why not try mixing all our favourite tipples together?

Stewart's tipple: Jack Daniels or any half decent Italian red wine
Toby's tipple: Gin, or Blue Nun (other brands of rocket fuel are available)
Simon's tipple: Scrumpy, or other 'proper' cider
Huw's tipple: Monster energy drink (other brands of insanity-inducing energy drinks are available)

Pour 142ml of each of the above into a pint glass. Put on a Scissors record. Enjoy.

Groovin' the Grape!

It's been a little while since we've been in live action (though it was a very busy summer, with a few mystery private gigs between the scheduled ones), but we're back!
Friday 17 October we'll be playing Cambridge's The Grapes (19 Histon Road, CB4 3JB), with our fantastic chums Bouquet of Dead Crows and Trouser Crisis!

Playing sci-fi/gaming paradise CamCon in August!

This August we'll be getting down'n'geeky playing at CamCon at Cambridge Junction.
CamCon is is a multi-genre 'geek culture' convention, now in its third year, which caters for all genres of fandom from anime to gaming, sci-fi, comics and everything in between. There'll be cosplay, gaming, workshops and panels - and live music in the evening from 7pm, including us!
It's on Saturday 30 August, at Cambridge Junction.
