Sjhaking all over!

13th October sees the release of a new three track EP “Sjhake” by Cambridge self styled purveyors swirling keyboard-fuelled psychpop with horror-show freak-beat guitars and new wave post-punk bass-lines.
Lead track Sjhake previously featured on the bands second album “Haunted Mirror”, second track “Glossy Magazines” was featured on a German Shepherd compilation and the third track “Electric Line Terminus” is a new release.
...and we'll be promoting the single/EP at this gig on 14 October at the Cornerhouse, alongside The Face and The Keepers; not to mention appearing on a local radio show or two (details TBC shortly)!

Helen Robertson on Dave Hammond's Smelly Flowerpot

We had our chum the fantastic punky-folk-pop singer-songwriter Helen Robertson supporting us at our recent album launch gig, and she subsequently appeared live in the studio on Davey Hammond's Smelly Flowerpot radio show. If you missed the show, it's now available on Mixcloud to listen to again!

Listen again to our Stagger Indie show appearance

You can catch our unplugged (and unwashed) appearance on Monday's Stagger Indie Cambridge 105 show on Mixcloud!

We played two songs live and acoustic in the studio, 'Haunted Mirror' (about 30 minutes in) and 'Attack of the Phantom Teardrops' (about 40 minutes in), plus some tracks from the album and other things we brought along...

Radio, live transmission...

The Scissors' new album will be released on 11 March, and to spread the word we'll be appearing on the radio on a few shows to play tracks from it and talk about how we (eventually) made it!

First up, we're on Stagger Indie on Cambridge 105 next Monday (22 February). Tune in at 10pm for fun and frolics!

Staggered!

Thanks Stagger for playing our track 'Afternoons' on yesterday's (great) show on Cambridge 105!
It's a taster for next week when we'll be live on the show, talking about the new tracks we're working on, playing some of them, and spinning some other records that we like and think you should hear.
Don't miss!
